How does Endpoint Filtering Work?
Rawstream Web Filtering is an end-point web filtering agent that is installed on end-user devices.
The agent works as a local HTTP / HTTPS proxy, filtering web traffic on the device itself thus ensuring zero latency or overhead. No traffic ever passes through Rawstream servers.
The agent monitors and enforces access policies per-user or per-group.
On starting, the agent sets the Windows system proxy settings to point to itself as a local web proxy. The proxy settings are reverted when the agent exits. The agent can also be configured to serve a PAC script.
